Snorkelling

Snorkel at Green Island in the clear cool Great Barrier Reef waters at your leisure from the beach.  Mask, snorkel and fins are included with the hire of snorkel gear. Lycra suits and floatation vests are also included.

On your journey to Green Island safe snorkel tips are given and there is a life guard service operating at the island.

No need to pay extra, our standard fare passengers can choose this equipment as part of their free inclusion or have the option of a Glass bottom boat tour instead. (Not available with transfer only rates)

Prescription masks available at no extra cost.

Please note at certain times of the year Green Island will experience extreme low tides that can affect snorkelling conditions. The following dates could be affected during 2025, for more information on the best times to snorkel on these days, please contact our reservations dept on (07)40510444 :

During this 45 minute session you will practice using your equipment in the shallow waters at Green Island straight off the beach. Once you are comfortable you will explore the coral gardens with the assistance of an experienced snorkeller. Minimum age is 6 years old for this activity.
